If you experience a dental emergency with injuries or damage to your teeth or gums, then call Dr. Vero’s office right away. The staff can help schedule an emergency appointment for you.
If you have a knocked-out tooth, you should act immediately. Locate the tooth and pick it up from the opposite side of its roots. If possible, place it back in its socket in your mouth. Otherwise, place it in a small cup of saliva or milk to keep the roots moist. You can also keep the tooth between your gum line and cheek until you arrive at the practice. These actions can possibly save your tooth.
Infection can also be relieved with a pain-free root canal during your emergency dentistry visit.
With any dental emergency, the sooner you can get to Dr. Vero’s office, the higher chance you have of fully repairing the damage.
What happens during an emergency dentistry appointment?
The team at Dr. Vero’s office first examines your teeth and gums to assess your damage or pain. They may use digital radiography to get accurate imaging to see the root cause of your issue. The pictures allow them to see what lies below your gum line and inside your teeth.
Once you have a diagnosis, they create a customized plan to treat your specific dental need. They go over the plan with you in detail, explaining:

- How many procedures you might need
- How long the procedures take
- When to expect a full recovery
